The Sandhills area, which is home to Pinehurst, Southern Pines, Historic Aberdeen, Cameron, and other small villages within an hour’s drive, is a beautiful location with a variety of attractions and accommodations sure to please everyone. It is approximately 1 hour southwest of Raleigh, 2 hours from the beach and 3 hours from the mountains. This area offers a 4 season climate with moderate winters. The area’s unlimited restaurant selections will leave you with a warm and interesting dining experience. Aside from being a vibrant and exciting place to visit or live, you will also find that we have a nationally recognized hospital and medical community. Moore County residents can choose from a variety of easily- accessible, advanced healthcare options from progressive medical and dental facilities. Choose from a variety of primary care and specialty physicians, registered nurses, and dentists. Moore County also offers transportation services such as rail and air service.
